Angel Gowns is a volunteeer organization that takes donated wedding gowns and refashions them into burial gowns for the infants who do not leave the hospitals alive. Our local group meets at the Fillmore Library…we are in special need of those who have a sewing machine and can bring it or those who have a machine and would prefer to work at home. The sewers claim that it is not difficult…very basic seams…no fancy work. Others rip apart gowns, snip off the embellishments and some hand sew the embellishments back on the finished gowns…again very simple and basic.
You are cordially invited to join us for the work bees; you do not need to stay the entire time.
We’ve collaborated with Fillmore Central School to be a late bus pick up spot for grades 5 and up Monday through Thursday. The kids walk to the library after school, check in with staff and the late bus picks them up here at 4:20.
On Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 we’re offering various after school activities!
“Healthy Living for your Brain and Body”, will be presented by the Alzheimer’s Association at the Fillmore Library Community room on:

This program is FREE and open to the public, but please reserve your seat by calling 1-800-272-3900.
