Wide Awake Club Library Board
Minutes: September 14, 2021

Pat moved to accept the previous minutes as submitted. Shawn seconded. Motion carried,
Karen moved to accept the monthly financial information as submitted. Brad seconded. Motion carried.
Roxanne reported that federal funding may emerge for the matching funds for the 2022 technology grant, so that we could work with the Manley Foundation to repurpose their funds.
The library will host Prof. Jon Arensen’s book launch on Sept. 22.
Our October book sale will begin on Thurs. Oct. 7 and run for two weeks.
Quite a few local businesses and facilities, including the library, are promoting a Remote Area medical free clinic to be held at Genesee Valley Central School in Belmont over Columbus Day weekend.
Rebecca gave an update on the town revitalization conversation.
An anonymous donor has started an endowment for the Wide Awake Club library through the Area Foundation. We could draw 4% per year, or not touch it until a later date.
The scheduling of the next meeting was tweaked so that we will see each other Thursday, October 14 at 6:00 pm.
