Wide Awake Club Library Board
Minutes—April 12, 2022
Members Present: Carole McGlynn, Pat Ricketts, Judy Robertson, Rebecca Rowley, Rod Bennett, and Shawn Hotchkiss

-Rod B. called meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.
-Judy R. moved to accept the April minutes. Carole M. seconded. Motion carried.
The library has received the “Grandparents’ Pass” for Mumford which can be used for two adults and unlimited children and grandchildren.
-Pat R. moved to accept the financial documents. Rebecca R. seconded. Motion carried.
Director Items
-The Volunteer Lunch is all set for next week at Fillmore Wesleyan Church.
-We received an extra $200.00 for our summer concert series giving us $2,000.00 total.
-The audit meeting for the library will be April 21, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Susan Hatch, Roxanne B. and Marriah P. will be meeting together.
-We gratefully received $2,500.00 from the Wide Awake Club ladies in December. They have set a stretch goal of $3,600.00 for this next year. Funds raised will support programming.
-We now have our fishing poles that our patrons can check out for use.
-Roxanne B. hired Sarah Trump as our new desk and IT employee. She has volunteered for us for years and works easily with technology. She will work 8 to 10 hours per week at $13.50 an hour.
-Reagan Zelaya is interning at our library to get hours toward her degree in library studies. She has excellent skills and is working for the library nineteen hours a week. She is an RD at Houghton College.
-We received our property and building assessment from the Town of Hume assessor. Hume is heading into an assessment re-evaluation year. Rod B. will need to sign the form.
-We are still operating under our pandemic hours for the public. Roxanne B. would like to increase the hours. Generally, our patrons are coming in later, so we will keep the opening time at 10:00 a.m. Our Tuesday and Thursday hours will be extended until 7:00 p.m. Our Saturday hours will be 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
-Tele-health Memorandum of Understanding: Roxanne B. shared that our agreement will be from January 2022 until May of 2023. The equipment warranty will be for a full two years after we sign. They will cover all repairs during that time, schedule times for appointments around our events, and the equipment will be ours to keep. Judy R. moved to accept the MOU. Rebecca R. seconded. Five in favor, one opposed, motion carried.
